Cottage Charm

There's something about my window boxes that brings a smile.

My mother has always been an advocate of window boxes. We had them on our red horse barn growing up, on our Cape Cod in Dorset Woods and on other exterior sheds. They add a certain cottage charm and warm greeting. When I purchased Peachtree Cottage, it was missing window boxes. After searching several websites, I found them to be quite expensive. So, I turned to Craigslist with success! After a fresh coat of spray paint (although vinyl material, they were painted beige by their previous owner) and some sun-loving annuals, they are exactly what I wanted!

As I've posted about before, never judge a book by its cover. Look for the potential! It's amazing how these $60 window boxes added so much character.
